I am an ethnomusicologist, UX researcher, and university instructor with 10+ years experience doing in-depth interviews, ethnography, and critical analysis. In addition to 5+ years working with archives, I’ve been involved in curating exhibitions, enhancing discoverability and user engagement, preserving various sound and A/V media, photo prints, negatives, musical instruments, and more.
I help organizations build more usable repositories and employ user experience research methods to understand how and why users engage with content. With a passion for music and the performing arts, I believe that traditions of cultural expression are great ways to understand ourselves, society, and the human condition.
Teaching is another area I’m deeply passionate about. I relish the reciprocal process of learning, where I learn from my students as much as they learn from me!
